T Piece on Thein Baffle

I am making a 100mm Baffle Dust Collector for use with a Canvac Twin. The Camvac is above the Dust Collector and will be connected with about 1m of rigid pipe.
I want to sit it in the SE corner and have pipework going south and east. I'm thinking of putting a T Piece on the inlet at the top of the seperator, then blast gates, then 45 degree fittings to run the pipes along both walls.
Is this a realy stupid idea, which will create too much turbulence at the entry point ? or has anyone got any better ideas please ?
