Sorry for the delay.  I have visited every major home center chain in the Milwaukee area and can't find what I once saw.

I'm positive that I had seen, at HD, an approx. 5" square section of a sort of ductwork.  They came in pieces that were approx. five feet long, and they were over by the downspouts/gutters.

My thought had been to use one of these as the inlet.  It would be so easy to intersect this as a side inlet.

I'm trying to get hold of my old neighbor (a contractor) to see if he knows where/what these were, and where to find them now.
