Hello, I have been "on site" now  for a few weeks and between bill pentz site and here i have learned quite a bit about dust control.  I have a question about the upper limits[if any] of CFM,FPM OR H/P, and the effect on the ability of the thien baffle to work.  I now have a 1.5 hp unit with a 12 inch impeller that works fine, but am about to up grade to larger ducting and a larger blower and motor.  i will also be making a  larger"baffle unit" and would like to know if there is a chance that i may "over power" the thein baffle design.   I apologize if this question alredy has an answer some where on this site and i just over looked it.   :D    Thank you!

That is a very difficult question to answer, the variables are numerous, and as people increase the sizes of their impellers and motors, I think it is a somewhat natural path to switch to a conventional cyclone.  So we haven't seen many tests w/ 3-HP+ motors and large impellers.
