complete 6" ducting?

I have recently bought the HF 2 HP dust collector to upgrade from their 1 HP model.  I am in the process of setting it up and I was wondering since I am upsizing all my duct to 6", would it be beneficial or neccesary to upsize the blower exhaust to the filter/bag assembley?  I don't know if that 5" there would restrict my cfm any.  Thanks a lot Phil.  This is an outstanding website you have and I truly appreciate what all you do for your fellow woodworkers.

The 5" hose (even as short as it is) does provide a restriction.  I've seen some people expand these to 6".  I'm not sure how to do it so it looks nice, and doesn't cause any leaks.
