ironmike, to remove the impeller:

use a 5mm allen wrench, and it is LEFT HANDED bolt.

then I used a bearing puller to put it off.

mine came off easily.

I just ordered a Rikon impeller, and they did not ask for a serial no., or for what I was to put it in.

The squirrel cage will not work all that good.  They do make nice air filters for fine dust, with furnace filters.

I made mine a 1.250" on a two hp. collector, and works fine.

The glass shop was built first, and I just kind-a moved in my wood tools.  Hey, the garage was cold, and her shop was heated.  After the initial shock, she got over it.

The last shop I had, was a woodworking & stainedglass shop.   The wife was NOT happy with all the dust on her stained glass. >:(  We now have separate shops.  Works great now, his and hers space. ;D

I have the Shop Vac brand shop vac, and use their bags, with no problems. Filter is always clean using the paper bags. The seperator is a great lifesaver.

I made my first seperator, and it works great. It really isn't all that hard to make. If you were close I'd help, but as usual you are problably on the other side of the country (I'm in South Central Wisconsin).
