Well I just tried it on my laptop with Chrome and I can see all the jpegs just fine. Evidently it is something with the permissions in Explorer 8. I'll try to figure it out.
Thanks for the suggestions.

I just tried to view the photo that I uploade 15 seconds ago and it looks like the others I described earlier, white box with red X and the file name below. Not good.

Let me try to post a photo and we'll see what happens.

I can view the bucket jpeg just fine. I checked my Explorer 8 settings and view pictures is selected in the Advanced section.
I just flipped back to Doug Olson's post "Top Hat completed" and the jpegs in his post appear the little white square with the red  X in it and just below it, the paper clip and the underlined jpeg. file. When I double click it, it opens MS Picture Manager opens and all that is in view is the white box with the red X.
I didn't have to click on the bucket jpeg, it was displayed in your post.

I posted sometime ago about not being able to view the majority of the jpegs on this forum.
They appear in the body of the post as an attached jpeg image with the little red X inside a little white box, which usually means it will not load when accessed. I am using Explorer 8 and I have tried Chrome also and I still can't view the photos. When I click on the link I will either get a new tab with the little red X in the little white box, or I will get a tab with a message about not being able to load the picture. This is very frustating. Just wondering if anyone knows what the deal is.

Thanks

Hello to all you wood workers and baffle enthusiasts. I've been reading the forum for a couple of months and will eventually build a baffle. My only question now is: Why do I get a "Web page unavailable" notice when I try to open one of the attached photos and how do I remedy this?

Thanks

Hey I finally converted from lurker to member. Great stuff here. I love the backyard scientist and basement shop researchers!
I have one issue though, I can't view the images in the post. I get the page for the gallery and it says unavailable or it has moved. What is the deal?
