I have a question - I see your inlet is on the left.  Is the tornadic action going to rotate clockwise, counter clockwise, or is this a function of the dc impeller?  Trying to understand whether the pipe should enter on the right or the left. Sorry if this has been asked and answered.

Nice work.  I've leaned on this heavily as I try to build one similar to it.  I have a question about the outlet pipe - the one connecting the separator to the DC.  How far into the "top hat" do you run that pipe.  Does it make a difference?

I'm amazed at how long your runs are.  I saw a recent/related post of the results you got from your drumsander.  I take it you are completely satisified with the performance of this system?  I have an older 2HP Grizzly DC that I picked up used about a month ago.  Building a Thien top-hat is my very next to-do.  I really appreciate this post and what you've accomplished with your layout using this system.
