J. Phil Thien's Projects

After building Phil's terrific dust baffle my Delta Dust Collector fried the run capacitor. Seems like a simple thing but Delta no longer offers this part. They tell me to go to a motor shop to try and find one. So much for customer service from Delta. Now I need to retrofit this motor to get it running again.
Also, the Thien baffle works so well there is nothing left in the dust collector bag. So maybe I don't need a DC with a big motor and large collection bag. Any comments?

I'm Bill and mostly build wooden boats, canoes, paddleboards and oars. This makes piles of saw dust. I have a Delta DC but....well you know. I have tried some of the things Wood Craft offers that aren't much better. Then I discovered J Phil Thien and his unique design. I'm building one now. Thanks Phil!
