One additional question on transforming the original baffle design into the 6" inlet VAWoodworker design: how high should the exit pipe be from the top of the baffle? In the original "plans" instructions it mentions that it is 2" above the baffle, but this is for a shop vac. The height that VAWoodworker used is greater than that - closer to 6". Is there a rule of thumb that should be used that takes into consideration the inlet diameter and the distance from the ceiling to the baffle? Or am I just over thinking this?
Examples from my design:
Inlet pipe is 6.25 OD
Distance from ceiling of separator to the top of the baffle: 8.5"
