Title: Height of top hat, inlet/outlet
Post by: Jack Wilson on April 09, 2012, 07:09:37 PM
Hoping to begin building a top hat seperator in the next week or next weekend. So I have 2 questions...

A) is the height critical? I am hoping to go about 10 " tall, 6" side inlet and 8" outlet.

B) Do you expext those two pipes to work well together?  I want to use plexiglass or lexan so I can see the sawdust spin and drop. My bin is a fiber barrel about 21" diameter, not sure of its gallon measurement, I am guessing around 35?

Thanks,
Jack

I cant tell you what dimensions are right. I am following others designs that have been successful. What I am sure of, don?t use plexiglass, use Lexan (polycarbonate)
