Title: up graded to top hat....get rid of another
Post by: newbiewoodworker on February 27, 2012, 04:54:25 PM
Hey everyone,
I come to this forum every once and awhile to see if any thing is new.  I posted a
Link of some pictures and my thoughts on the baffle some time ago for my 50-760.  Since itwas an original Phil top hat design, I have since upgrade it to a side inlet with the metal can.  all I can say is it is awesome.  Since my posting I have moved and designed a system around 5 inch duct and have since built a top hat. I am looking to get rid of the other for the cost of the materials to build about 50$.  However I can not in good conscious sell this 1unless it was with Phil's blessing even though its not for profit and only 1 unit. Like I said it works awsomeans n even demonstrate it if the person is local.  Inooo

By the way for the top hat design I used plexi in a dado approx 3/4 around the circumference before using sheet metal for the inlet pipe connection.....worked great...and put the air straighteners in as suggested by retired and they work as well----- flouresent bulb 1 1/2 inch plastic tube at homedepot for 8$

Is the separator still available?  Will you ship it to Virginia (at my expense of course)?
