Title: New Grizzly G1029Z2
Post by: Faysimplers on February 20, 2012, 07:06:12 PM
What a great site and great idea. Here's my question. I have a brand new Grizzly G1029Z2 with the
2.5 micron bag and the new impeller( whatever that is, I have found no info other than new impeller).
Anyway I plan to mount the motor in the corner of my shop and install 6" metal ducts as needed. I plan to mount the filtration unit outside. My idea is to mount the bag ring on top of a 55 gallon plastic barrel to replace the lower plastic bag. I was going to use a plywood top with a hole cut the size of the ring for support. Can I incorporate the Thein seperator as part of the support plate or does it need to be inside the bag ring.

Thanks for your idea Phil

I don't see why you couldn't incorporate the baffle into the plywood drum lid.  I will just mention that thinner baffles work best.  So you may want to figure out a way to have the drum lid act as a support for a thinner baffle.
