Here are some pics of how I added a Thien style baffle to my Woodstock 1049 Dust Separator lid installed on a 30 gallon steel garbage can in front of my Grizzly Dust Collector.
The baffle is cut on the bandsaw from 1/4" hardboard, and attached with 1/4" x 6" bolts spaced with 1/2" rigid plastic water supply line along with fender/lock washers.
The separator lid was ineffective prior to installing the baffle.
After installing the baffle most all of the sawdust is deposited in the garbage can.
It's amazing how well the baffle works!
