Title: found "pipe joint template software"
Post by: michael on February 03, 2008, 02:37:32 PM
....... jtm065 commented a thread today on the hassle of scribing an dust collection inlet tube tangentially to the circumference of a separator lid/can - the ideal location as noted by phil;  a while ago I found the following online page of a woodworker who had solved the problem creating templates for the mating of joints at various angles/diameters in  workshop dust collection ducting and  posted onlinethe software he developed:

www.harderwoods.com/pipedocs.html

.... the woodworker, Stan Harder, suggests a donation; I haven't downloaded/used the software  and have no relation to Stan or the webpage but based on the details/samples, it looks promising

Thanks for posting that.  I have seen it before but I've never used it.  It certainly looks like a great way to make the ultimate separator.
