Title: Particle count revisit
Post by: rnease on February 28, 2010, 03:54:09 AM
Good Sunday morning. Does anyone have any updates on particle counts since the group buy of the Dylos counters and Phil's initial tests? Phil, have you continued to monitor the conditions in your shop, and have you achieved your goals? I'm beginning to think that the combination of the DC with 1 micron filter, the ambient air cleaner with 1175 cfm and merv 13 filter, and a squirrel cage blowing out the basement window with a merv 13 filter may just be the icing on the Thien baffle cake! Good chip and fines collection, and simply blow away most of the really small stuff.

Been watching this for a while since I missed the group buy on the Dylos... I am a bit stunned nobody has replied...

Thanks, dbhost. I am, too, but keep waiting.  I had a friend give me an old (30 year) squirrel cage from a replaced heating unit, and am building the box and filter housing, and fitting it to basement window. I think another dylos group buy should be thought about.
