Title: Ventint to outside

Just thought I would ask before I put a hole into the side of my garage. My DC's exhaust port is only 2" from the wall, all I need to do is install a 5" dryer vent. Is this a good thing or bad? Good for air losses or bad due to the air velocity?

My advice would be to remove any louvers from the vent, and install a blast gate on the exhaust that you can close when you're done for the day (to prevent critters from entering).
