Title: Drum
Post by: kilgtfish on April 12, 2009, 03:04:29 PM
I am going to build a separator for my DC. It would be great if there was a clear drum(plexiglas maybe) on the market so that the dust and chip level could be seen at a glance.....like the clear collection bags. Might not be such an animal on the market, and I don't know if it would be strong enough to stand the vacuum without crushing. Anyone seen any type of drum which has a window to check levels? Seems like I've seen something like that somewhere. I've exhausted all the search terms I can think of to find one online. Anybody got a clue as to where I could find one?  Maybe someone has put a window into their separator?
Tom

There ya go, nothing a $5 piece of plexi a few rivets, and a tube of caulk can't fix!

I have a couple of white 30 gallon drums, easy enough to see content level through the sides. They were free for taking them away. I plan on using one as the basis for a seperator.
